BIO

Jeff Felderhoff (born 1978, Muenster, TX) is a multidisciplinary contemporary artist, residing and working in Denton, TX. He is best known for his sculptures, paintings, and interactive installations that explore the use of found/repurposed objects, cast metals, along with traditional materials such as steel, wood, paper, fiber, and light. Following a 15-year career as a medical speech-language pathologist while raising his son, Gary, Felderhoff began focusing primarily on his artistic practice. In 2025, he began pursuing an MFA in Studio Art at Texas Woman’s University.

Felderhoff explores art as social commentary, investigating various cultural biases (confirmation, conservatism, attentional, affinity),their relationship to theory of mind (ToM), and their collective influence on feelings of defensiveness, fear, anger, righteousness, powerlessness, aggression, and apathy, producing works that encourage meaningful reflection, empathy, communal connection, and self-discovery. He emphasizes methodical, time-intensive research and planning to produce compositions that meaningfully communicate to diverse audiences of differing viewpoints, and he continually expands his practice through new techniques and approaches, maintaining a balance of rigor, play, vulnerability, accountability, and hope.

Jeff Felderhoff has recently had work exhibited in Form and Vision, a Texas Sculpture Group exhibition at the Museum of Biblical Arts, Dallas, presented in conjunction with the 2025 International Sculpture Center Conference. He also will have work presented in the forthcoming 39th Annual International Materials: Hard + Soft Contemporary Craft & Digital Exhibition at Meadows Gallery/Patterson-Appleton Arts Center in Denton, Texas. Felderhoff is a former board member and current volunteer with The Art Room, a Denton-based nonprofit supporting teens, adults, and veterans with mental health challenges.
